Native women veterans are invited to a VA discussion on August 12, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 7 N 31st Street, Billings. Share your experiences to help improve VA health care for Native American women veterans. Participants will receive $50 for time and travel. Free childcare is available. Open to all Native women veterans, regardless of tribal status or VA enrollment.
Join VNN for an amazing evening under the stars at the Thank You for Your Service Concert on Friday, August 15 hosted at the Red Oxx Events Lawn. This special event honors and celebrates our nation’s veterans through live music, community, and gratitude. Get ready for the 7th annual Food Truck Battle on the Yellowstone, happening Saturday, August 23rd, at the Armed Forces Reserve Center! Over 50 food trucks will compete for top honors, alongside cold beer, live music all day, and a family-friendly area with free kids' activities. All proceeds—10% of food truck sales, and 100% of beer and gate profits—will support veterans. Admission is just $5, with free entry for kids under 12, veterans, and active military with ID. A free shuttle will run from designated parking areas—watch the event page for details. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or in advance via EventGroove (non-transferable—avoid resales for your safety).

Join Phillips 66 for a fun and engaging evening at the 25th Annual Phillips 66 Meet in the Park, hosted by the Citizens Advisory Council of Phillips 66 Billings Refinery! Happening Thursday, September 4 at the Gazebo in South Park, this free community event is a great opportunity to connect with neighbors, enjoy family-friendly activities, and learn about local resources. Explore booths and displays from organizations like YMCA, Yellowstone Boys & Girls Club, MSUB City College, and more. Families can enjoy burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream, and kids can participate in exciting prize drawings—including bikes, toys, and gift cards! Open to Gateway Triangle and South Side residents and businesses. Don't forget to check in at the event for your food and raffle tickets!

Be a part of this years Yellowstone Valley Walk Out of the Darkness, hosted by American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This fundraiser will take place on September 21st at Will James Middle School, and all are welcome to participate. AFSP is asking for people to participate in the walk free of charge, volunteer to help this event go smoothly, as well as sponsors for the event. Join SPARC and BAFVTF for their 36th Annual McGuire Memorial Conference on Family Violence on September 25–26 at the First Interstate Bank Operations Center in Billings, MT. This year’s keynote presentation, hosted by the Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center (SPARC) will explore the dynamics of stalking, its intersection with other forms of victimization, the use of technology, and best practices for investigation and victim safety planning.
Mark your calendars for the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Yellowstone Valley's annual day-long conference on Friday, September 26 at the Mansfield Center at Intermountain Health St. Vincent Hospital. This important event focuses on building connections and advancing suicide prevention efforts across the community. Attendees can learn about the coalition’s work, apply to be a speaker, become an event sponsor, and connect with others passionate about mental health. Registration opens in June.

Join Undammed Distilling Co. for a special Whiskey Tasting event on July 26, at VFW Post 6774. Enjoy tastings from 5:00–7:00 PM, followed by live music from The Ragsdale Trio, a veteran family band, from 6:00–9:00 PM. The evening also features a 50/50 raffle supporting the VFW’s Veteran Relief Fund and a live auction for an Undammed Whiskey Barrel. This event is open to the public.

Learn about admissions, financial aid (FAFSA), and veteran education benefits while identifying a career path that aligns with your strengths and goals. Enjoy a free lunch with campus leaders and take part in valuable workshops to help you transition successfully to college life.
