Below you will find some of the opportunities to volunteer with Veterans Navigation Network. Even if you don’t see an opportunity that you are interested in, please fill out our Volunteer Interest Form so that we can get to know you, and find the volunteer opportunity that is right for you. Your time is extremely valuable to us, and we appreciate any of it that you are willing to give to support our Nation’s veterans.
Data Entry/Admin Volunteer
Description
As a Data Entry/Admin Volunteer, you would be part of the hands-on work behind the scenes that allows VNN to continue daily operations while ensuring critical information is handled appropriately. This volunteer position is critical, as it allows us to have and use most recent data when we need it. Also, the result of this volunteer work will aid VNN staff and other volunteers to perform their tasks in meeting the needs of the veterans we serve. Reports to the VNN Program Coordinator and this volunteers worksite is typically the VNN office at 2173 Overland Ave in Billings, MT. If interested, fill out our form here.
Peer Mentor Volunteer
Event Opportunities
Description
A key component of Veterans Navigation Network (VNN) is our peer mentor program where veteran mentors provide peer-to-peer support to veteran participants (mentees). Veterans are better served by having a support system that includes someone who understands military experience and the different aspects of military culture. Mentors provide a supportive relationship and encourage, guide, and motivate mentees with entry and timely completion of a variety of tasks with the goal being successful readjust to civilian life. Reports to the VNN Program Coordinator and this volunteer’s worksite is typically at their discretion with the agreement of the peer mentee. If interested, fill out our form here.
June 26th - Get Air fun night. This night is a fundraiser and family connect night for our Veterans. The public is welcomed and encouraged to help us. Please tell your friends and family. Please have them print the flyer and present it to Get Air at the event. We need at least two volunteers per shift. The first shift will be 4:30-6:30 the second shift is 6:30 to 8:30. The first shift will bring supplies & set up the table and the second shift will take it down and return it to the VNN the next business day. If you can volunteer for both shifts please let Rose know by emailing rose@veteransnavigation.org.
July - 10th Heights Pizza Ranch Fundraiser and family connect night. The public is welcomed and encouraged to help us.Please tell your friends and family. Please have them print the flyer and present it to Get Air at the event. We will possibly need at least 10 people per shift for this event. The first shift will be 4:30 - 7. The second shift 7-9:30. The first shift will bring supplies & set up the table and the second shift will take it down and return it to the VNN the next business day.
